Interact Millennium @ Rotary International Convention

Team IMC is very happy to announce that Nikitha Ramesh, President of the Eco-Club and a member of the Interact Millennium Club of the PSBB Millennium School will represent the school in the upcoming Rotary International Convention to be held between the 6th and the 9th of May, 2012 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Nikitha is a computer science student belonging to class XII B, and has been an integral member of the club since the previous academic year (2011-12).

Congratulations over the opportunity Nikitha! Hope you set some high standards for all the members of IMC at the convention, by letting the world know how the young hands at PSBB Millennium gather expertise in social service through the Rotary Club of Madras, T.Nagar!

Enjoy an unforgettable experience in the land of a thousand smiles! Cheers!

Another memorable light-speed year!

2011-12 proved to be yet another successful year for the IMC and the PSBB Millennium, thanks to the increase in the number of beneficiary projects and the humongous rise in public response!

Team IMC would thereby like to thank every contributor who helped us during each and every cause we had taken up this academic year. We hope this support would be perennial and long lasting, as we as a team do like to induce smiles on the smile-deprived faces.

Something within Team IMC's thoughts says success this year due to the public response cannot just be expressed in terms of verbal gratitude. So, here's the thing... WE AT THE IMC BOW TO THE 'Chennai janta' for making it big!

Three cheers for teamwork, hip hip... HURRAY! :)

Cheers, see you towards the start of 2012-13! Happy Vacations doston!

THE MILLENNIUM FIESTA 2012 reaches the masses!

A big 'thank you' to every contributor who helped the cause, in the annual fiesta of The PSBB Millennium School, for this academic year!

A total sum of Rs. 8 lakh was tallied by the accounts, of which Rs. 6.5 lakhs would be spent in constructing secure fencing (or) compound walls for the Kolapakkam Panchayat School and as donation amount for the Need Trust, as mentioned in the previous post.

Kudos to the senior students for organizing a successful charity event, and a special thank you to the coordinator, Mrs. Swarnalakshmi, who along with Mrs. Priya, guided the students towards the planing and execution of this year's carnival.

Sponsors deserve a huge pile of gratitude, and so do the stars who lit up the show!

Overall, the event was successful in reaching the masses, and the successful completion of 3 projects of the IMC for this academic year brought joy in the faces of the IMC Team!

A memorable Republic Day indeed... Jai Hind!

THE MILLENNIUM FIESTA 2012 - beneficiaries

Last year, The Millennium Fiesta 2011 saw Rs. 11.7 lakhs being collected, and 80% of it being used for the construction of 8 restrooms for the very needy students of the Kolapakkam Panchayat School, an adopted institution of The PSBB Millennium School.

This year, the Fiesta would help in aiding 2 organisations - Kolapakkam Panchayat School (continued funding) and Need Trust (a unit consisting of handicapped music geniuses, who will perform live on the 26th as well).

The Interact Millennium Club Team requests all the teachers, parents and the senior students to promote this event and help us in reaching our goals for this year. A few celebrities have accepted our invitation and will be present at the Millennium Grounds for the Fiesta!

Any parent or teacher, or any well-wisher volunteering towards sponsorship is requested to contact Mrs. Swarnalakshmi, Event Co-ordinator at her mobile number (+91-9840893777).

Spread the word, and let us make the city aware of our deeds!

THE MILLENNIUM FIESTA 2012 (posted on the school website)

The students of The Millennium Interact Club will host The Millennium Fiesta 2012 on Thursday, 26th January 2012.

The proceeds of last year was spent in the construction of 8 restrooms for the students studying in the Kolapakkam Panchayat School that did not have the basic facilities.  This year the proceeds will go towards building a compound wall near the restrooms built to prevent the usage of the same by the general public.

Like last year, The Millennium Interact children will set up stalls for an array of games, stalls of creative artistic display, make arrangements for the rides and cater tasty, delicious food from the canteen and outlets.

The Millennium Interact Club Students will also showcase their talent with a live band, choreographed dances by the seniors and Live DJ-ing.

26th January being a holiday has been selected to facilitate parents to bring the children to the school for a day out.

Do come and support the cause of the students with your presence.
